Mass of Thanksgiving for the Gift of Priesthood

A Mass of Thanksgiving for the Gift of Priesthood was celebrated at St. Andrews Church, Westland Row, Dublin on the 21st November 2021.  The Thanksgiving Mass is organised each year by the Dublin branches of St. Joseph’s Young Priests Society and is celebrated on the Feast of Christ the King.  The main celebrant this year was Fr. Séamus McEntee (Chaplain to SJYPS and vocations director).  Also included were Fr. Frank Drescher (main homilist) Blanchardstown parish, Fr. Paul Glennon, Walkinstown parish, Fr. Declan Blake, Ballymun parish, Fr. Robert Colclough, Fr. Chris Hayden, Spiritual Director Maynooth and transitional Deacon Joe Keegan, Cabra West Parish. Fr. Frank was ordained last year and presented a stole by St. Joseph’s Young Priests Society. Also invited were men from the Archdiocese considering a vocation to priesthood and they had an opportunity to meet and chat with Priests and seminarians afterwards.
